About

Hi. I'm Brian.

I am an anti-oppressive social worker with 18 years' US and international nonprofit experience in development and fundraising, community, volunteer, and corporate engagement, marketing and communications, program management, and events.

I am an instinctive, inclusive leader who is passionate about inspiring, equipping, and activating people to share their talents and resources to advance social justice and equity outcomes.

I am a proud Angeleno and currently serve as Development Officer at A Place Called Home, a youth services nonprofit that aims to inspire, encourage, and support the young people in South Los Angeles to achieve social, emotional, and economic success.

I am a lifelong Bruin, with a BA in Psychology and Spanish from UCLA, including a year at the University of Barcelona. I earned my Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) at Columbia University in New York City, where I specialized in program development and community mobilization.

I am a connector, cook, and gardener, and am learning (every day) how to be the best parent I can be to two amazing kids, with my incredible partner, Jennie Rosenbaum.
